We had an amazing haul of medals, with the highlights being no fewer than 26 Commonwealth Champions from the Bench Press Championship and 31 from the Powerlifting Championship!
In the Bench Press Championship, this broke down to 21 gold medals for England, 2 for Scotland, 1 for Wales and 2 for Northern Ireland; in the full power, this was 16 gold for England, 2 for Scotland, 6 for Wales and 7 for Northern Ireland. I think we can safely say, we’re massively proud of all our athletes who took the opportunity to fly all the way to Canada and represent their nation.
